ECC has gone green in September 2014!
It has marked the implementation of our Go Green Committee’s action plan that covers: waste, energy, biodiversity, water and healthy snacks. Our eco-school program has been going strong as we were awarded the Eco-School Entry Award for the BREEF (Bahamas Reef Environment Education Foundation) Coastal Competition. The initiatives of the eco-club at ECC include composting, planting trees, building a greenhouse, installing 24 solar panels, and having the students help clean up the community. Two pamphlets were created with more information about the ECC eco-club and the ongoing Solar Energy Project by the Ryerson University students.
