every child counts

ECC has been competing in Special Olympics Bahamas since 2008. The games of 2015 was one of our best years yet with one of our competitors making it to the Special Olympics World Games in LA. The 2019 Abu Dhabi games were filled with excitement and one of our students won two gold medals, congratulations!

Serena Newton, the youngest competitor for Team Bahamas, won silver for the 25 meter breast stroke and 4 x 25 meter relay in 2015.

Latonya Moss won a gold for women’s singles in bocce and another gold for mixed doubles in bocce in 2019.
